ARTIST BIO
Heather Tsang is a graphic artist and designer residing on the unceded and ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. She holds a BDes in Interaction Design from Emily Carr University of Art + Design (2013) and is one sixth of the newly formed zine collective happen stance who exhibited at vanCAF 2023 and WORD Vancouver 2023. As a second-generation Canadian, first-generation American, and a member of the Chinese diaspora, comfort and subversion of identity are themes she notices appearing and reappearing in her work. Other topics of interest include embodiment and ethics.
