三維笛卡爾坐標系,因過於熟悉而被認為理所
當然,卻塑造着我們看待世界的方式。藉助
它,簡單幾根線就能在二維平面上創造無限空
間。我沉迷其中。
在一次去游泳館的地鐵途中,我構思了這篇漫
畫。想在呈現坐標的形式及隱喻之餘,進行自
我觀照。一個在黑暗中站在原點的人,以自我
為參照看待這個世界,他需要平衡自身、與他
人及世界的關係,也渴望志趣相投的同伴。
“絕對不能錯過”號列車和“相對容易“號列車是
突然從腦中蹦出來的奇怪詞彙,但我好像的確
是通過放棄一個個看起來絕對不能錯過的東
西,來讓自己相對容易一些。

The three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate sys-
tem, often taken for granted due to its familiarity,

shapes the way we perceive the world. With it, a

few lines can create infinite space on a two-di-
mensional plane. I’m captivated by it.

I conceived this comic on the subway to the
swimming pool. While presenting the form and
metaphor of coordinates, I also wanted to reflect
on myself. A person standing at the origin in the
darkness, viewing the world with oneself as the

reference point, needs to balance the relation-
ship with others and the world. One also longs

for like-minded companions. The phrases ‘Nev-
er-to-Be-Missed’ train and ‘Relatively-Easy’ train

suddenly popped into my mind—strange as they

are, but it seems I have indeed made things rela-
tively easier for myself by letting go of what once

seemed absolutely unmissable.
