毛毛与矮矮 Furrie and shortie - 第三号 number 03 生活的點點滴滴

　Furrie and Shortie are two characters created by ampulets. As their names suggest, one is very short and one Is extremely furry. This comics trilogy is sometimes charming, sometimes moving, but at all times, silly.

　　Inspired by the simple 4 or 6-frame form and humour of Chinese comics San Mao and Old Master Q, Issue 1 “Be the most wonderful you/ 做最美好的自己” explores identity and social norms through familiar slapstick. Issue 1 also features artwork by other Singapore illustrators and designers such as MessyMsxi and Theseus Chan!

　　Ampulets was a design studio founded by James Teo (1972-2019). It is also the moniker used by James and Yvonne Tham for independent art and design projects. Outside her day job, Yvonne continues to write and draw as ampulets. Publications by ampulets include art books “Goodbye Time” (2012) and “A Day to Wake Up to/ 我們一起醒來的那一天” (2021); comics trilogy Furrie and Shortie (2016-2020) and handmade comic “Only Grace” (2021); as well as an illustrated book based on the animated short “You Can Take A Break/ 休息一下嗎” (2018).
